“We had a very enjoyable stay. The welcome was warm, staff friendly & room comfortable. Waterloo House was a good base from which to explore Dublin, making use of the regular local buses. The highlight for me, were the excellent breakfasts, with plenty of gluten-free options.”

“Waterloo Guesthouse is well-located on a quiet street. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is beautiful and the menu is varied beyond the traditional Irish breakfast which was a welcome change. A great value in Dublin.”

“I stayed for a week in May 2015 and was put at my request in a roomy, quiet and well appointed king room in the upper back of the house. The full Irish breakfast downstairs looking on to the garden was excellent, and the comfortable and handsome sitting room in front of the office was a pleasant place to relax and read the Irish Times, which was always there in multiple copies, with quiet mostly classical music playing in the background. The house is wonderfully located just steps away from Baggot Street, near to the bridge, and quite convenient to a variety of excellent shops and pubs and restaurants. But the jewel of the place is to be found in the wonderfully warm management of the lovely Evelyn Corcoran and her excellent and friendly staff. I felt very well cared for, thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and hope to return. I have been visiting Dublin since 1978, have a number of old friends there, and they all agreed that I was as happily situated to take in the pleasures of the city as I could have been.”

“We had a wonderful experience at the Waterloo. The staff is great and extremely helpful. Water is provided in the rooms and the breakfasts are delicious – from the mini Irish breakfast to the full Irish breakfast to the French toast to the omelets – all made perfectly and served by very friendly people in a beautiful setting”

“The Breakfast room is nicely located at the back with a big glass veranda to the garden. Breakfast is well prepared and plentiful. You will not leave hungry!”

“Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Comfy beds. What more could you want?? This hotel is situated in a quiet area around 20 minutes walk from the city centre. Breakfast is served in a sunny conservatory overlooking the small garden which is really pleasant”

“The breakfast is great (full Irish breakfast with black and white pudding, bacon, toast, … one word: delicious after a night full of Guinness :-)”

“Breakfast was in the conservatory and was gorgeous. I had French toast – just yummy! Staff were very friendly.
Highly recommend this delightful place and will definitely be back!”

” Breakfast offered a great choice, not just the irish fry, which was an added bonus. And it was also a very comfortable spot, conservatory, overlooking a homely garden. The price is competitive I’d say for what you get, classy charming elegance. I’ll definitely return again.”

“Breakfast room is splendid, and the breakfast options are many. From the “Full Irish” to the waffles and on to the French Toast, all was deelish. Fruit, cereal, and yogurt included as well. Nice.
There is an atrium adjoning the breakfast room so it is bright and sunny (when the sun decides to come out). Excellent!”

“Breakfast was freshly cooked and served by Maria who was really friendly and helpful. There was a wide selection of cereals and yoghurts and on the hot food menu the usual Irish Fry together with a variety of fish and pancake dishes. The bacon was thick, tasty and freshly cooked and overall the breakfast experience was excellent and served in a delightful dining room overlooking the garden.Breakfast was freshly cooked and served by Maria who was really friendly and helpful. “Breakfast is served in a large breakfast room, part of which is a lovely atrium that of course all the guests want to sit in. The atrium overlooks a garden and occasionally a dog or two (who are very interested in breakfast), which I find delightful. There’s a buffet at breakfast with fruit and yogurt, juice and water. You can order a full or mini-Irish breakfast or bread basket. The full and mini Irish were delicious. My last morning I left obscenely early, long before breakfast started. The extremely helpful morning worker, whose name I forget!, offered to make me anything, and when I declined, she brought me some delicious brown bread that I started making at home I loved it so much.”

“On arrival, you are greeted with a characterful room with a fire and classical music playing gently in the background. There is free internet access available in here, along with a complimentary copy of the ‘Irish Times’. Comfortable sofas and a wide screen TV make it relaxing. The owner and her staff are friendly, helpful and attentive, creating a pleasant environment in which it is evident everyone works well together. The waiting staff at breakfast deserve a particular mention for their customer service skills.”

July 29, 2013

“Excellent place to stay in Dublin. Very comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts. The staff was lovely also”

July 27, 2013

“The breakfast good and filling. We ate in the sun room, which was a sunny spot in which to start the day. Our stay was pleasant and I would recommend this B&B to people who want to be close to the sights but don’t want the noise and crowds right outside your window/door.”

July 25, 2013

Breakfast, which was terrific, is served on the lowest floor, in back, and half the breakfast area sits in a nice conservatory, behind which is a little garden where 2 dogs amiably lie.

July 13, 2013

“She is a warm and welcoming host and one of the reasons we so enjoy staying here. She is always available to help in any way she can. When we arrived at 6:30 in the morning after a long overnight flight from California, Irene, a staff member brought us tea and coffee. As soon as Evelyn arrived at 8 am, she offered us breakfast and checked us into our room right away – there was no waiting until a formal afternoon check in time. The delicious made to order breakfasts include waffles, French toast ,fresh fruit, traditional Irish breakfasts of eggs, sausage, bacon and toast, or catch of the day.”

June 9, 2013

Excellent hot breakfast (included) in the garden conservatory featuring Irish specialties and baked goods as well as a cold buffet with yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit and juice. “

June 5, 2013

Breakfast in the morning was great – they have seating on a glassed porch which was warm and relaxing. The staff was helpful and friendly. Frankly our best stay out of our 11 day trip around Ireland. Would recommend.”

June 5, 2013

“The outdoor tables and seating area allowed us to relax in a beautiful setting with fabulous weather. Breakfast was excellent too. The hotel staff made some excellent recommendations as to excellent nearby restaurants,”

April 30 2013

‘The breakfast area includes a glass solarium, nice place to have breakfast. We could choose from a catch of the day, full Irish breakfast, French toast or waffles along with yogurt, fruit and cereal. We appreciated the variety and all was appetizing. I never saw a flaw in the 3 days that we stayed at Waterloo. Be careful to not mix up your Waterloos – be sure to get Waterloo House – the surrounding properties are similarly named..’

16 April 2013
‘The breakfast was absolutely the highlight of this wonderful bed and breakfast. They had a wonderful spray of various whole grain cereals, organic yogurts and several fruit selections to munch on before ordering from the menu that also had several options to choose from as well..’
